RIGHT ON!!! I looked for you and didn’t find it. That sucks.
Oh, yeah. I’m going to press for a GLBT category on iTunes. THere’s no excuse for not having one. Did you see the email I sent you about a promo?
isn’t it crazy that queery eye for the straight guy is more important than haliburton overcharging for food that has schrapnel in it before being fed to our soldiers fighting for oil?
Yeah I did. I’m planning to do a mass email tomorrow. I’ve had some pretty hair-raising adventures in the magical world of yuppie condo hell to deal with, so the iTunes sucks, but I’m sure if Boku wants you in their good graces (and they should) they would be hip and wise to get you on the main page.
Hmmm… Why are these being compared?
Are you pissed off that we “Indie-Podcasters” arent complaining about Haliburton-Bush 100% all the time (instead of 99% of the time like we normally do.)
The iTunes support of podcasts is a big thing, and they need to do it right. It’s about having our voice heard in the cacophony of mainstream media world. Podcasting is news because Madge, Ragan, and others like myself are rising in the legit ranks.
Well said Fausto!
Great podcast Madge. You brought up a lot of interesting points. But in all fairness, the iTunes Music Store Podcast service is only one day old. I would like to see if Apple quickly steps up to the plate and makes necessary revisions and/or changes to its directory before I make any judgements.
I sent my email to Apple’s Steve Dowling today requesting GBLT category added to the podcast directory.
I agree, Tigger. I think I overreacted in some ways but at the same time, I’m glad I asserted myself from the start. I don’t think anyone had any wrong intentions, but when everybody’s trying to get their site’s up first, things can get rushed and quite chaotic.
I can’t speak for Apple, but I can tell yu that the Podshow people are doing the right thing.
Hi Madge,
Looks like you pissed off the folks at Apple, because Winamp keeps trying to connect, to no avail. When, instead, I try to download the show, Windows Explorer asks if I would like to save it as homepage404ErrorPage.html;-).
pants not rants
Link broken.
Damn, I love Angry!Madge.
Pants not rants.
I DONT UNDERSTAND.
Love the Pants Madge… and content will win in the end
Yes?
Oooh… listening to this now. Can’t wait to hear it.
God damn. Beautimous. Nailed it.

Hi there!
Yes, you’re right… but what did you expect. They mess up with their own software too!!!
Still, I am an argentinian living in Italy and of had no idea what podcast was. When the itunes upgrade came in I was kind of surprised and so of course I did some research on the internet and found Ipodder.org/gay lesbian and therefore your delicious voice. Nothing comes with some work.
Now I agree you have to fight for your right to be posted correctly, Square-fucked-up people need a kick in their asses to be awaken out of there ego-dream
But still, you are now global in a very real sense!. Besides I am posting your coordinates to all my friends (not that many though… sorry).
Why hear an american podcast? I love that 10% of the world who still thinks, and I am not making reference to any sexual orientation… I believe that only 10% of our world population still uses their brains after 35y. I refuse to believe US is just about that SLF called GWB. A big hug! Take care
I expected this would happen.
Apple are hiding away from putting “gay” or “GLBT” on the menu because they probably think those words don’t look very cool.
Which is unfortunate.
I don’t know. It may have been an oversight and I think they DO think those words look cool. They are cool. Really.
