iTunes 4.9, Podcasts, they are more like time shifted radio (from Om Malik’s Blog)
Like all mac faithful, I downloaded the iTunes 4.9, and checked out the podcast feature. Despite all the hoopla around Podcasts and how are going to be different from radio, well the iTunes 4.9 clearly shows that it is nothing but radio timeshifted. There is ESPN, ABC News, and some other mainstream radio shows being offered as Podcasts.

The real podcasts are being passed off as “indie podcasts,� though I am glad to see Inside Mac Radio and Engadget Podcast at #3 and #4 in terms of downloads. Everything else is just some repackaged radio show/television program! That’s not podcasting is it? Its like TiVoed Radio!
The only thing to add to something so well said – is that everyone out there shouldnt be afraid to speak out about this. dont fear the wrath of apple or offending important people… everyone through their blogs, podcasts, whatever media you have access to, should expose this now. And even if its quite soon.. or maybe “too” soon, I think we should still do it now, to perhaps make the DANGER come to the forefront.

NO. SIrius is better. Don’t knock them. They are angellic.
I didn’t listen to Sirius cuz the people i was staying with only had XM, but if Sirius is even remotely similar it must be pretty cool. The Howard Stern show is starting to suck big time, and no Madge, not just because of Artie Lange
Even though i think Howard Stern is still funnier than Opie and Anthony, it was very refreshing to hear those guys talk about anything and not care about a bunch of 70 years old FCC rules.
